IT’S SPOOKY SEASON!
October is probably my favorite month of the year. You just can’t beat Halloween movies, cozy fall recipes, and (of course) the pumpkin patch! October is also our wedding anniversary (2 years!) so we decided to visit Spooner Farms to do a little anniversary shoot with the wonderful Hanna Burgundy photo. As soon as I posted the first photo, I started getting messages asking for details on this shoot, so today I’m sharing 10 pumpkin patch photoshoot ideas for couples!
Pumpkin Heads

For a nontraditional post that actually incorporates your pumpkins, pick ’em up and hold them in front of your head for an image that looks like your very own indie folk music album cover. You can also stack the pumpkins on your head for a fun, goofy shot!
Spinning

A classic spin is so cute when you’re surrounded by rows of pumpkins! Make sure you get more than one image so that you can capture the motion and post them as an Instagram gallery!
Corn Maze

If your local pumpkin patch has a corn maze, hide in the leaves and sneak a smooch! I love the focal length effect that our photographer used! This is definitely one of my favorite pumpkin patch photoshoot ideas for couples!
Picking Out Pumpkins

Capture the process of picking out the perfect pumpkin to carve! It might feel a little silly to keep picking up different pumpkins and inspecting them, but the shot is so cute!
Pumpkins in the Wheelbarrow

Once you’re picked out all your pumpkins, stick ’em in a wheelbarrow and get a few shots on the way to the checkout stand!
Partner in the Wheelbarrow!

For a funny twist on the shot above, I climbed in the wheelbarrow with my favorite pumpkin and had Matt push me around. My lazy girl heart was so happy to avoid walking haha!
Piggyback

This one is a classic, and it’s definitely made even better by the pretty fall colors of the pumpkin patch! Hop on your partner’s back and snap away!
Helping with Coat

Fall truly is the coziest time of the year. To get this cute little vignette, we had Matt drape his coat over my shoulders repeatedly until we got the right image!
Seated on Pumpkins

The bigger the pumpkin, the better! We chose seats right in front of this cute hay bale spider sculpture. This would be super cute in front of a ride or the classic plywood face-cutouts!
Walking down the Pumpkin “aisle”

Take (another) walk down the aisle! Our photographer had us bump hips a few times as we walked toward her to make us laugh and capture the organic movement!
I hope these pumpkin patch photoshoot ideas for couples were helpful for you guys! It would make my fall-loving heart so happy if you would tag me in your pumpkin patch photoshoot picture on Instagram!
